Capital Region Wine Festival returns at Proctors for Tenth Annual Installment
Two dozen wineries to participate
SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—MARCH 13, 2018—”Wine is the only art you can drink,” according to Luis Fernando Olaverri.
Taste and enjoy a plethora of art during the Tenth Annual Capital Region Wine Festival, 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at Proctors.
Celebrating the event’s milestone, over two dozen wineries including C. Mondavi & Family; Constellation Brands; Delegat USA Inc.; Delicato Family Vineyards; Deutsch Family Wines; Enovation Brands; Evaton; Foley Family Wines Inc.; Frederick Wildman & Sons; Jackson Family Fine Wines; J. Lohr Winery; Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars; Laureate Imports; Maddalena Vineyard Brands; Mionetto USA; Palm Bay International; Pernod Ricard USA; Pleasant Valley Wine Co.; Prestige Wine Imports; Quintessential LLC; Shaw Ross International; Ste. Michelle Wine Estates; Tru Estates & Vineyards; and The Wine Group, are offering selections of their finest red, white and sparkling wines.

The Grand Tasting Affair, $55 advance/$60 at door, grants casual tasters and aficionados an assortment of wine, food and vendors.
Limited to 100 patrons, the VIP Club Vin, $100, provides the perks of the Grand Tasting Affair in addition to a private one-hour Club Grand Vin tasting of distinctive reserve wines (all valued at more than a $100 per bottle). VIPs will also enjoy live entertainment by the Schenectady Symphony and passed hors-d’oeuvres from Mazzone Hospitality.
Designated Drivers, $25, choose from a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, restaurant samples and enjoy an array of vendors.
All attendees are treated to a live wine auction, 4 p.m. on the Harry Apkarian Stage at Proctors.
Must be 21 years or older to attend.
