The largest continuing gospel celebration in the Capital Region, Gospel Jubilee, is back at Proctors, with a hotly-anticipated sixth edition sure to bring great joy and uplifting music to all in attendance.
Yvette C. Williams, famed in gospel circles for the inspiring “For Every Mountain,” headlines a rich bill featuring the Capital Region Jubilee Mass Choir with musical direction by Reverend Elgin Joseph Taylor, Sr.
Williams is a solo national recording artist and a member of the Kurt Carr Singers—winners of nine Stellar Awards. Williams has shared stages with Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Kirk Franklin, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin and many others.
Her powerful voice continues a tradition of dynamic, faith-based performers at Gospel Jubilee.
Gospel Jubilee also has a strong tradition of giving special recognition to community leaders and past trailblazers like Dr. Georgetta Dix; Rev. Dr. Minnie L. Burns; Annette De Lavallade; Margaret Cunningham; and Artis Kitchen, as well as current movers and shakers like Wes Holloway, retired VP of Diversity, Price Chopper and Reverend Albert J. Holman, retired pastor of Mt. Olivet Missionary Baptist Church.
The Sixth Annual Gospel Jubilee at Proctors honors Mother E. Geneva Conway—District Missionary for Upper Hudson Churches of God in Christ and longtime member of Albany’s historic Wilborn Temple First Church of God in Christ—for her community service.
Sixth Annual Gospel Jubilee at Proctors is sponsored by MVP Health Care.
